Mission Accomplished!

Back from Chicago.  My visa and passport will be returned to me next week and then I'll be all set to go.  Except for moving.  Blah!

It was good to see Laurie, John, and Jim before going!  What a nice summer night in Madison we had.

Impromptu Madison and Chicago Travel

I received my visa number from Korea yesterday, so as soon as possible, Scott and I are traveling to the Korean consulate in Chicago.  Tonight we are staying with John and Jim and also hanging out with Laurie and possibly Bob if he's free.  Thanks for the flexibility with planning our visit, John and Laurie.

On the Korean side of visa process, things seem to move a little more quickly than on the American side.  Both the United States and South Korea have a better system than France.  That's for sure!

Break in!

Our condo garage got broken into last night. Many car windows were smashed on cars, but ours was one of a handful spared. Unfortunately, our bike was stolen. Luckily, that should be covered by insurance.

Chicago Next Week

Some time during the next week, I am supposed to receive a visa processing number from Korean Immigration.  With that number and some other documents in hand, I need to go to the Korean Consulate in Chicago in order to have a visa put in my passport.  I hope all goes smoothly!

I will also be coming to Wisconsin again.  Look for a call from me in the next day or two, Wisconsin relatives.
